I GOT MY ORDER AND I LOVE IT! WHAT CAN I DO TO SHARE?

Hooray! You are welcome (even encouraged!) to post photos on your blog or social media. Share the love on Twitter and Instagram with the tag #erikagibsonceramics. If you could also leave a review, that would be greatly appreciated!

I GOT MY ORDER AND I THINK SOMETHING IS WRONG. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Please contact me immediately! I definitely want the chance to make it right.

ARE YOUR PIECES DISHWASHER SAFE?

All pieces are top-rack dishwasher-safe, though it is always recommended to hand wash any handmade ceramics.

ARE YOUR PIECES MICROWAVE SAFE?

All pieces are microwave safe.

ARE YOUR PIECES OVEN SAFE?

Yes, if placed in a cold oven and warmed with it. Any drastic temperature changes can compromise the integrity of the piece.

HOW CAN I KEEP UP WITH NEW PRODUCT RELEASES?

Sign up for the newsletter! (I pinky swear not to spam you or sell your email address.)

CAN I MAKE A RETURN?

If you have any concerns with your order, please contact me within three days of receiving the order.

Ready-to-ship and made-to-order items must be postmarked within five business days in order to receive a refund. Funds will be reimbursed in the manner that they were received. The customer is responsible for return shipping. I recommend making sure the package is both insured and tracked, as any pieces that are damaged in return shipping or that aren't received at all will not be reimbursed.

Custom items are not returnable based on the personalized nature of the items.

Wholesale orders are not eligible for a refund. Please contact me if you would like to order a sample item before committing to a wholesale order.

◂Shipping▸

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?

▶ Most pieces will ship within three weeks. If I have pieces ready, it'll ship even quicker. You should receive an email letting you know when to expect your order.
▶ Wholesale orders are produced and shipped within eight to twelve weeks.

I cannot guarantee delivery dates or times. Please contact me if you need something by a specific date and we'll see what can be done.

HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?

Shipping is determined both by the weight and the dimensions of the package. Ceramics aren't feather-light, and costs vary depending on how far they have to go. To determine how much shipping will be, add products to your cart.

I'M PURCHASING (ITEM) AS A GIFT - CAN YOU WRAP IT?

Yes! There is an option for gift wrapping during checkout.

I GOT MY ORDER AND SOMETHING IS DAMAGED - WHAT DO I DO?

▶ Immediately photograph the broken piece(s) and the packaging.
contact me within five days of receipt.
Keep the packaging and broken piece(s) for insurance purposes.

WHOOPS! I ACCIDENTALLY PUT THE WRONG ADDRESS - CAN WE FIX IT?

contact me as soon as you can and we'll see what can be done.

◂About the Artist▸

WHO ARE YOU?

I'm Erika Gibson, and I live in Eastern North Carolina with my wonderful husband, Chris. You can read more about me here.

HOW OLD ARE YOU?

I'll spare you the lecture on how you shouldn't ask that of a lady. I'm 26, and my birthday is in December.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO GET IN TOUCH?

The form from my contact page goes directly to my inbox. I do my best to respond within three business days.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO CERAMICS?

I grew up in a very artistic family, and was exposed to multiple mediums very early. I was always interested in the potter's wheel, but I didn't have a chance to try it until a friend from college gave me an impromptu lesson in 2012 and then again in 2014. I took two classes in 2015, and immediately knew that pottery was what I wanted to do.

I WOULD LIKE TO TRY POTTERY - WHERE SHOULD I START?

If you're in the United States, there's an excellent chance that your county has an arts council. I would start there.

WAIT, IS YOUR DAD...?

Yes. My dad is scott eagle of eyrie studios. I told you, I grew up in a very artistic family.

DIDN'T YOU USED TO DO DESIGN WORK?

Yes. I started freelancing in 2009. I still do a little design work on the side, but my primary focus is definitely my pottery.

I'M VISITING NORTH CAROLINA - WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I wrote a guest piece for Feast + West on the hidden gems of greenville. (Others have also contributed to the series for raleighdurhamgreensborocharlotte, and the outer banks.)

WHAT ARE YOUR TATTOOS?

You can see my tattoos here. The fig is from Sylvia Plath’s the fig tree. ‘Start today’ and ‘create more than you consume’ are from Elise Blaha Cripe’s get to work book. The flowers are loosely based on miss rumphius, and the stars, of course, are from Harry Potter.
